Welcome To We Women Of A Certain Age

Hello and welcome to We Women Of A Certain Age! My name is Heather Foley, and I started this site because if I had to read one more anti-aging post written by a 25 year old I was going to scream. I kid, kind of. Like a lot of people, I spent a lot of time online in 2020, and I really couldn’t find a website that seemed to be written with me, or women like me, in mind. Fashion trends and beauty posts always seemed to be through the eyes of a much younger lass, and even when I would read something about women over forty it felt either condescending or unattainable. Either “look at my adorable mother who hasn’t given up completely and still brushes her hair”, or “this gorgeous older Instagram star wears nothing but Gucci”. I am smack down in the middle, I shop at ASOS and need eye cream. I wear H&M but I’m concerned about my neck. I have a middle part too but I also get heartburn. If you know, you know.

I love reading about personal style, beauty, food, health and wellness (you know all the good stuff) and since I couldn’t find a site I loved and wanted to spend my lunch hour reading, I decided to build it myself. I’m so glad you’re here, please get comfy and hang out for a while. I know I’m in the very early stages, but hopefully you see some posts that speak to you, and this grows into a community.
