Now in addition to being a lipstick girlie, I am also a bargain girlie. As much as I love to treat myself to higher end products every now and then, I am a connoisseur of drugstore lipstick. Oh and I’m also a sharing girlie, so I’m sharing my favorite drugstore red lipsticks with you right now.

This orangey-red lipstick starts off pretty sheer with buildable courage, which takes the pressure off applying it. Does anyone else’s anxiety spike when they apply red lipstick? Let me tell you about this lipstick. You will not find, I don’t care how much you pay, a lipstick that lasts longer than Maybelline SuperStay. This bad boy lasts for HOURS. You can put it on in the morning, eat, drink, and be merry all day and night, and you will still have to scrub it off before bed. And there are multiple great red options available, this just happens to be current fave.

Was I originally drawn to this lipstick because the gold tube looks like something a fancy lady might pull out of her clutch? Possibly! But it doesn’t change the fact that this is a really elegant red, in a saturated, satin-finish formula.

Did I save the best for last? Don’t sleep on Wet n Wild! I’m a huge Wet N Wild stan! How huge? The centerpieces/favors at my 40th birthday party were vases of Wet N Wild lipstick. Any color, but especially red, any formulation; you simply can not go wrong. Super pigmented, long-wearing, cruelty free, and most of their lipsticks are $3 or less.
