Social Media’s Beloved Stanley Tumblers Are The Future..And They’re Just Better

A couple weeks ago I was living a blissful, Stanley-free existence. I never spent so much as a second thinking about water bottles. I happily sipped from whatever cheapo water bottle I picked up at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or Costco and lived my life. I was a different person then…

On a whim, while shopping in Target, I decided to grab a 40 ounce Stanley tumbler. I knew the Stanley/Target collab was flying off the shelves, and if I didn’t grab one then and there I wouldn’t get another chance. I had been debating switching over to a larger water bottle (my dinky 22 ouncer just wasn’t cutting it), but hadn’t pulled the trigger yet because I was concerned a larger water bottle wouldn’t fit in my car cupholder, and thats a deal breaker, ladies. Everything changed that fateful day.

The first time I used my 40 ounce Stanley it was over for me. My puny water bottles didn’t stand a chance. I don’t know how they do it, but I swear water from my Stanley is colder, crisper, and tastes better than it ever has. What is this sorcery?!

Within a few days I bought a second 40 ounce Stanley tumbler. I mean, I obviously need a second one for when the OG is in the dishwasher! Then I had a day when the 40 ouncer just didn’t fit with the day’s activities, so I bought a 30 ounce version. Then I was on the spin bike at the gym (brag) and the handled versions just didn’t fit in the cupholder quite right, so I bought a handleless 30 ounce version.

Does the madness stop there? You know it doesn’t. Being germ-conscious, I didn’t love having an open, exposed straw hole. Lordt only knows what could find its way into my straw. Zombie fungus? Possibly! So I grabbed some silicon straw covers, a product I didn’t even know existed. And because I’m obnoxious (no need to beat around the bush), I bought what can only be described as a Stanley fanny pack for my chapstick and other accoutrements.

I’m proud to say I haven’t bought anything Stanley related in a week, but I know it’s only a matter of time before I’m at it again. If you haven’t swan-dived into the Stanley lifestyle yet, proceed with caution; and if you are a full-blown Stanley girlie, I need your must haves.
