Peloton Boxing Is Here!
Hints have been dropping for a while but now it’s official, Peloton has added boxing! Those of us who follow instructors on social media know a few instructors are boxing aficionados and now we’ll get to spar with them…sort of.
The “Get Hooked: Peloton Boxing” two week program launched December 7th under “Programs” on the app. Instructors (for now, Peloton will be adding more) are Rad Lopez, Kendall Toole, and Selena Samuela. The 5 to 30 minute classes range from warm ups and stretching to fundamentals and shadowboxing. No word on playlists yet but I’m sure Rocky has to be in there somewhere!
The boxing classes are only accessible through “Programs”, meaning you can’t go through and pick and choose classes (like you can with Cardio and Strength), but you can manually skip a class in the program. Once you agree to do the program the clock starts ticking and you have one week to take all the classes; on day 8 the second week of the program will begin.
I’m sure Peloton heavy bags, gloves, and wraps are coming; but as a non-bike owning Peloton member I’m psyched to see an equipment-less class that I can do any time and (almost) anyplace. Cardio is something I struggle with because I usually find it so boring, but I’m looking forward to giving the two week program a go. Has anyone started Peloton Boxing yet?
