Can A Little Intentional Self-Care Change My Life?
Let’s talk about self-care…
Hello, my name is Heather and I take crappy care of myself…in every possible way. Physically, emotionally, mentally, financially – I am my own worst enemy. I’ve been eating poorly (like fast food at least once a week poorly), I haven’t been moving my body, my self talk has been atrocious, my spending frivolous; probably to make myself feel better but shock of all shocks it’s not working. It’s time for reset.
So I made a promise to myself to intentionally practice self-care this week.
I’m not signing up for a specific program, no offense Whole 30 and whatever the financial version of that is, just general taking better care of myself. And as of right now what that looks like is meditating every day, moving and nourishing my body, more books/less tv (that ones gonna hurt), eating food I prepared more often than not, no negative self talk, less compulsive spending, and I’m sure a few more I’ll figure out along the way. And lucky you, you’re coming with!
The hope one feels before a wellness journey is unparalleled! Have I started and quit numerous wellness journeys only to give up after a few days! Of course! But this one is different! Do I tell myself that every time? You know I do! Listen, I know a complete life overhaul is a big undertaking, but I’m going to do my best. Is my best your best? No, and that’s ok.
So get ready for some updates you didn’t ask for! And who knows, maybe you’ll learn from what I’m sure will be my many, many mistakes. Namaste.
