My picks for the best colors to wear with navy blue…

Have we discussed my love of navy blue? I know everyone loves black, but honestly give me navy any of day of the week and twice on Sunday. In addition to just working better with my skin coloring than black (this one is for the pasty gals), navy works better with works better with just about every color on the color wheel.

Navy and Black

Did I just drag black a little and now I’m changing my tune? Not exactly! I know there are a lot of old school notions about navy and black never being worn together, but let me tell you they’re a match made in heaven. There is something so chic and rebellious about wearing black and navy, just make sure they’re too close in color to each, you don’t want people thinking you tried to match colors and missed.

Navy and Coral

Pairing navy with coral makes navy feel a little less stuffy, a little more playful. Also I am obsessed with this tiger shirt.

Navy and Burgundy

Fun fact, I’m wearing navy and burgundy today! Although its much less formal than Monica here (I’m wearing wearing a tshirt and nylon pants, don’t judge). Navy and burgundy together 4ever.

Navy and Tan

Tan might not be the most exciting, or revolutionary color to wear with navy blue, but it works beautifully. There is something timeless and classic about tan and navy together.

Navy and Yellow

I’m mildly obsessed with Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific. The way she wears both basics and statement pieces is a constant source of style inspiration for me. Like if I said “pants and a plaid shirt”, that doesn’t sound particularly exciting, but this outfit lives rent free in my brain.
