Not Sure How To Style Coveralls? Jenna Lyons To The Rescue!
Let’s talk about how to style coveralls…
Though she may be new to The Real Housewives of New York, Jenna Lyons has been serving looks for decades. I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve been mildly obsessed with her since the early aughts, and she is solely to blame for my coveralls (boiler suits, utility jumpsuits, whatever you want to call them) obsession. The first time I saw Jenna in those Pink J.Crew coveralls it was all over. In honor of that momentous occasion, I’d like to share a few of my favorite Jenna Lyons coveralls outfits. Enjoy!
Fresh Neutrals
How does she make something so casual look so chic? If you described this outfit to someone it might sound blah, monochrome coveralls and sneakers, hair pulled back, big glasses, and a touch of jewelry. But somehow Jenna Lyons manages to put it all together in the most refreshing way.
Leopard And Pink
Ladies and gentlemen, and theydies and gentlethems, may present *the* pink J.Crew coveralls! Jenna and her many different stylings of these coveralls opened my sartorial eyes. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! You can style almost anything for almost any occasion and situation, you just have to believe.
Add A Patch
What I wouldn’t give for full length, front and back shots of this outfit! The very little styling I see of this I love. Pinky ring, sheer orangey red lip…I would kill to see the shoes! PS if anyone comes across better pics of this outfit holler at ya girl.
Bundle Up
Cream coveralls, tan winter coat, and a faux fur snood (?), chefs kiss! I see myself using this outfit for inspiration all winter long.
Office Ready
Who said coveralls aren’t office appropriate? Just add pointy toe heels, a smart coat, and a sleek leather work bag (no more Neverfulls, ok?) and you’re ready for a board meeting you gaslighting, gatekeeping, girlboss!
Add A Chic Coat
Speaking of adding pointy heels and a smart coat, look at what they do for a pair of cream coveralls!
Two Inspos For One
Two for one special! I have no idea the true origins of this photo, but I love it! Cinched waist, wide leg, cargo coveralls?! SIGN ME UP!
Try A Print
Ok, so this may not technically be a coveralls situation…but for the sake of this post I’m counting it. Couple extra buttons undone, J.Crew roll to the sleeve, statement shoes, this look is classic Jenna Lyons.
Blue Suede Shoes
When I tell you this outfit lives rent free in my head! I’m thinking this is the *perfect* day to night outfit for me. I wear coveralls and my trusty clogs to work, swap out heels and fun coat/cardigan for my evening plans…now I just have to find some evening plans.
Time To Shop!
Free People Marci Jumpsuit
Just add a few patches on the back of this washed olive green jumpsuit and you’re good to go.
